Cynical Villagers

We all know you can zombify and cure villagers over and over again until their prices are so low you can get infinite emeralds out of them. Why not skip the long, cruel process of forcing these guys to cross the brink of death over and over again? It's just a golden apple and a splash potion of weakness when you get down to it.
